Some quick facts about moi: I have always lived by the sea (except for college years, which I did not really fancy all that much) and I am settling for now by the Atlantic Ocean. I adore bridges and late night walks tuning in to the subtle chaos of the city. I am the star of my own kitchen and I love to entertain. I love my family, I love my friends and I miss them a lot. I love traveling and my best memories took place in cities all around the world from La Habana to Amsterdam, Paris to New York. I am up for the unexpected fun and I don't like to overplan my trips. About my blog: My blog has no central theme whatsoever. I just post whatever I feel like that day. I am maintaining it for myself more than anything as I have a memory weaker than the average fish. Though, if you, the random person, stumbled upon my blog and are enjoying it, I am glad you are here. Browse away!

#CitizensBank #StudentLoan #Avoid Here is why… This bank keeps changing their service provider. I have two different loans with them and the second loan is through a horrific underwriter called Firstmark Services. They charge twice as much of an interest rate than my first loan and when I called the customer service to negotiate the rate, the moronic rep told me “they can charge whatever they want and there is no negotiation.”

I requested a manager and the manager told me he is aware that the terms they agreed upon with the bank is different than what they had before with their previous lender. They don’t however reduce the interest rate subsequently and I would have to refinance.

Citizens Bank, on the other hand, is incapable of even answering loan related questions and they refer you to Firstmark reps whom I found out to be rude and abrupt.

If you stumbled upon this and you were considering getting a loan with Citizens Bank, DON’T. Work with a bank that can sit down with you and negotiate the terms… a bank that wouldn’t bounce you off to a third party lender whom you didn’t even know was involved in the deal.
