Some quick facts about moi: I have always lived by the sea (except for college years, which I did not really fancy all that much) and I am settling for now by the Atlantic Ocean. I adore bridges and late night walks tuning in to the subtle chaos of the city. I am the star of my own kitchen and I love to entertain. I love my family, I love my friends and I miss them a lot. I love traveling and my best memories took place in cities all around the world from La Habana to Amsterdam, Paris to New York. I am up for the unexpected fun and I don't like to overplan my trips. About my blog: My blog has no central theme whatsoever. I just post whatever I feel like that day. I am maintaining it for myself more than anything as I have a memory weaker than the average fish. Though, if you, the random person, stumbled upon my blog and are enjoying it, I am glad you are here. Browse away!

This week has absolutely been insane. It started with an earthquake on Tuesday which we first thought (traumatized by being right next to the ground zero) was terrorists attacking our building. After I was convinced it was an earthquake, I wasn’t sure which scenario could have scared me more (this time traumatized by 1999 earthquakes in the ‘home’land.)

As if one natural disaster wasn’t enough in one week, now hurricane Irine is about to hit NYC any hour. To be honest, I am indeed feeling a little uneasy about this. I am not sure how bad it will get and I can’t imagine myself sitting in the dark alone listening to the hurricane beating the city.

Though, I must say, with adversity comes opportunity. I was back from work at my subway station yesterday and I decided make a pit stop at Whole Foods. I saw this silver fox right in front of the building and it took me a few second to put together the cameras, the silver goodness and the CNN logo. Damn right, Anderson Yummy Cooper. I met my all time celebrity guilty pleasure yesterday and I am planning on cherishing the brief memories of him whilst the hurricane fucks with my mind.

P.S Anderson Dreamboat Cooper was apparently reporting yesterday from downtown Manhattan and they are expecting 6-12 feet of water by the ground zero sight, which probably means I will go through hell getting to work on Monday. Or perhaps they will shut down the building?

More Irine coverage to come - networks permitting.
